Critisism

Why should you take one persons (or a group of peoples) opinion as fact. If you did you'd just be a manifestation of what they personally think is right. A magazine is going to want journalistic integrity while an internet forum is going to want "cool tricks"

You need to recognize which criticism you should take to heart and more importantly what you want to do with photography (your art) and why. This takes years and years-one guy telling you "oh you should do X technique less" is not going to help you, no matter how successful they are.

Nobody can tell you what is right for you, do what makes you happy.
Listen to the people that are doing something close to what you want to be, but dont treat it as gospel. Begging them to give away their secrets will not work, even for cash. You are the competition. Learn to observe.

If critics aren't upset by what you are doing, your going unnoticed
